Pharmacy is the science and art of preparing, formulating, and dispensing medications. JIS University, recognized as one of the premier pharmacy institutes in Kolkata, has been committed to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical education since 2016. The Faculty of Pharmacy offers a wide range of academic programs including Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) with specializations in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, as well as a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology. Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and sophisticated instruments such as the Rotary Evaporator, Multi-station Dissolution Apparatus, Disintegration Apparatus, Tablet-punching machine, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, FTIR, HPLC, Deep Freezer, Biosafety cabinet (BSL-2), Autoanalyzer, Biochemistry analyzer, Ultracentrifuge, Microplate reader, Lyophilizer, and many more, which support academic curriculum as well as advanced research in areas including novel drug delivery systems, herbal drug development, process innovation, organic and medicinal chemistry research, analytical method development, etc.
