About the Program

Extensive research work is being carried out by the PhD students of the Faculty of Management Studies. The PhD students are also encouraged to present and publish scientific papers in national and international journals and conferences. Students working in different areas like digital marketing, consumer behavior, hospital management, rural management, green marketing, behavioral science, organizational structure and behavior, different aspects of human resource management like recruitment, appraisal, retention, training, different aspects of operation research, supply chain management etc. Extensive research work is also being carried out in different areas of Financial management. Number of research papers authored by the research scholars of the department has been published in different renowned national and international journals. They also present papers and attend seminars, conferences and workshops in different parts of India.

Eligibility

Postgraduate degree in related discipline with minimum 55% marks plus JIS University Research Entrance Exam.

Career Paths After Completing a PhD in Management
  • Academia: Many management PhD graduates choose to pursue careers in academia as professors or researchers. In academia, a management scholar can conduct research, publish papers, teach courses, and mentor students.

  • Corporate Research: Some companies have research divisions where PhD graduates can work on projects related to business strategy, consumer behavior, market analysis, or innovation management.   • Government and Nonprofit Organizations: Government agencies, think tanks, and nonprofit organizations also hire management PhD graduates to conduct research, evaluate programs, and develop policies related to management and organizational issues.
  • Entrepreneurship: With a PhD in management, one may choose to start his/her own business or consultancy firm. His/her expertise in areas such as strategic management, entrepreneurship, or organizational theory can be valuable in launching and growing a successful venture.
