About the Program

The Faculty of Agriculture offers a comprehensive 4-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture programme, widely recognized as one of the Best B.Sc. Agriculture Courses in Kolkata. Designed in alignment with the ICAR Vth Deans’ Committee Report, the curriculum emphasizes a strong foundation in core agricultural sciences, including Agronomy, Soil Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Extension, Genetics and Plant Breeding, and Crop Physiology.

Eligibility

Higher Secondary (10+2) pass with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or vocational Agricultural course.

Career Path

After completion the B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture students can get different State and Central Government jobs like Assistant Director of Agriculture, FCI, NABARD, FSSAI, Forest Department, Plant Protection Department (Plant Protection Officer), Field officer in Nationalized Banks, Different corporate sectors (Seed Production, Agri Chemicals, Bio Fertilizers companies), Specialized officer in Leading NGOs, ICAR-KVK Subject Matter Specialist, Farm Manager Jobs etc.
