About the Program
The B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology is a 4-year undergraduate program designed to provide a strong foundation in Earth sciences, focusing on the structure, composition, and processes of our planet. The curriculum integrates theoretical learning with hands-on training in mineralogy, petrology, paleontology, structural geology, and geomorphology, alongside practical fieldwork and laboratory studies. Students gain exposure to modern tools such as GIS, remote sensing, and geochemical techniques, enabling them to analyze Earth materials and processes effectively. The program prepares graduates to address real-world challenges in natural resource exploration, environmental management, and hazard assessment, while fostering scientific curiosity, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to emerging trends in geosciences.
