    The vision of the Department of Microbiology is to create a niche in different areas of biological sciences, and produce competent individual who can tackle problems in both academic and industrial sectors and solve a wide array of problems in a global society.

    • M1 – The mission of the department is to prepare students in multidisciplinary fields with emphasis on training and research in Biotechnology and Microbiology.
    • M2 – To offer quality education so that students can interlink between basic and applied science along with focus on industry-based problems.
    • M3 – To provide hands on training courses in the rapidly advancing field of biological sciences along with emphasis on Entrepreneurship skill development programs.
    • M4 – To make students aware of professional ethics that arise from research to testing and development of the product.

Eligibility

Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized Central or State Board or its equivalent in science stream with a minimum of 50%* marks, with Biology as compulsory subject in addition to any two subjects from Physics / Chemistry / Statistics / Computer Science plus JET (JIS University Entrance Exam)
