About the Program

The Department of Computer Science and Engineeringoffersan undergraduateprogramin B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering. Our department imparts knowledge at an advanced level and provides cutting-edge research facilities in order to cultivate inquisitiveness who acquire the necessary skills to confront global challenges from the perspective of both academic and industry.It is a 4-year undergraduate program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in computer science principles and practices.The department facilitates a significant amount of academic flexibility of faculty-student interaction. The diversified qualifications of faculty members ensure upskilling of students in various areas. The course curriculum includes laboratories for hands-on experiences, projects and internships to gain practical experience and industry exposure.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum 60% marks in 10+2 from any recognised board in science stream

WBJEE Exam: Student getting selected from WBJEE exam for B.Tech Course must have 45% in PCM in State Board or its equivalent exam plus JET (JIS University Entrance Exam)

Career Path

Graduates of B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering have diverse career path as Software Engineer/Developer, Systems architect, Network engineer, Frontend/Backend Developer, etc. Beside these career path, graduates may pursue higher education as Master’s degree (MTech/MS) in specializations areas like cyber security, data science, etc. Also, graduates can pursue Ph.D in Computer Science for advanced research and academic careers.
