About the Program

The PhD program in Computer Science and Engineering at JIS University, established in 2019, is designed to cultivate advanced research and development across a wide spectrum of contemporary and emerging areas, including artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, IoT, blockchain, cloud computing, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, bioinformatics, quantum computing, software engineering, computer networks, embedded systems, augmented reality, computational neuroscience, and high-performance computing. The program welcomes applicants with a master’s degree in relevant fields, though exceptional candidates with a bachelor’s degree may also be considered. Key requirements include a strong academic record, prior research experience, and qualifying exam scores (e.g., GATE). Students must complete advanced coursework, pass qualifying exams, and conduct original research culminating in a dissertation, with an expectation to publish their findings in peer-reviewed venues.
