About the Program

A PhD degree in pharmaceutical sciences/Pharmacy requires three years to 6 years to complete. The program's framework is based on a semester system and covers the study of novel pharmaceutical discoveries. Candidates learn how to create, develop, test, and comprehend the impacts of medications. Candidate’s having M. Pharm. with at least 55% overall from an accredited school is required to be eligible for the program. The GPAT, GATE and CSIR, NET and other entrance exams are used to determine admissions or through JIS RET entrance in case non-qualifying of any national level entrance.

Eligibility

Postgraduate degree in related discipline with minimum 55% marks plus JIS University Research Entrance Exam

Career Path

Following completion of a Ph.D. in pharmacy, candidates may pursue positions in the pharmaceutical sector as Scientists in Formulation Research and Development, Research and Development (R&D), or any other pertinent research area, depending on their subject competence. A Post-Doctoral Research (Post-Doc) position is also an option, and it can be taken in any reputable research institute in India or abroad. Doctorates have a good chance of becoming professors in any institution or university, both domestically and internationally.
